Logan Paul backs up Triple H.

WWE fans are not afraid to make their voices heard, whether it be to praise or criticize the pro wrestling juggernaut. In recent weeks, they have been especially vocal about their displeasure about the decision for John Cena to tap out to Gunther in his retirement match, with much of it being directed at WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

On the latest edition of Impaulsive, WWE star Logan Paul defended Triple H, suggesting that the WWE creative process is much more complex than fans are aware.

Paul’s guest, rapper Lil Yachty, said it’s unfair to have WWE fans blame Triple H for everything. Paul agreed, noting there’s always more to a story than those critics give credit for.

“It’s also not his fault. I’m telling you as an insider, it’s not his fault, like zero percent,” Logan said. “It’s human nature, unfortunately, [for people to put blame on someone]. Like how easy is it to just assign blame? Assign blame, ‘It’s your fault, we hate you.’ When in reality, most situations have a lot of nuance.”

Following Cena’s shocking tap-out loss at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, fans inside the venue swarmed Triple H with chants of “you f*cked up,” which the CCO brushed off with an emphasis on time-honored traditions. Still, the chants continued, both in person and online.

Lil Yachty praises Triple H

Lil Yachty also weighed in on the situation, echoing Logan’s sentiments about the complexities of WWE. Yachty additionally applauded Triple H for maintaining his composure in the moment.

“The reality is that behind the scenes, in real life, that’s not what’s going on, but the average consumer can’t honestly even understand the complexity of a situation, the layers in real time, the latter of a decision,” Yachty said. “You got a guy who sits in his seat. It’s easy to put the blame on one person when we’re all unhappy as a masses, especially if he’s mature enough to not spaz out and can take it.

“He’s not a guy that’s going on Instagram blacking out on everyone. So like ‘Okay, cool, we can throw the blame on him and he not going to say it’s not his fault? All right, f*ck it, yeah, it’s his fault.’ I really do commend him in that bane just because I’ve been in the spot of getting hate as a rapper. I’ve been in that position where the internet was just sh*tting on maybe because I’ve said something that a lot of people didn’t agree with.”
