Former WWE Star Trademarks Ring Name
As she continues to extend her reach outside of WWE, Scarlett seems intent on keeping her long-time ring name.
On December 8, the former WWE star, whose real name is Elizabeth Chihaia-Kesar, filed to trademark “Scarlett” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Scarlett’s application covers goods and services, specifically “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.”
As of now, Scarlett’s application has been accepted by the office, but has yet to be assigned to an examining attorney for potential approval.
For years, Scarlett has performed under a mix of the singular name and Scarlett Bordeaux. This has remained the case after she and Killer Kross, her real-life husband, exited WWE in August 2025. In recent weeks, Scarlett has wrestled at House of Glory, Major League Wrestling, and AAW. At the same time, she’s continued to manage Kross as he too wrestles at various promotions across the independent circuit.
Scarlett and Kross left WWE in early August after their respective contracts expired and WWE declined to follow-up on Kross’ request for more information on his potential new deal. According to Kross, WWE never put a new contract offer on the table for Scarlett. Nevertheless, the couple claims that they are now making more money on the indies than they previously were under the WWE banner. In WWE, Kross (real name Kevin Kesar) wrestled as Karrion Kross, a former WWE NXT Champion.
