Matt Cardona Wins JCW World Championship At Lunacy TV Taping
On Halloween night, Matt Cardona won the JCW Heavyweight Championship in a chaotic, special show.
Cardona competed against reigning champion 2 Tuff Tony, and in a stunning win, Cardona won the title. His win now adds even more unpredictability to the company. Last week, it was also announced that Vince Russo had joined the company, giving JCW even bigger stars now.
JCW, or Juggalo Championship Wrestling, airs new episodes of its Lunacy program every Thursday on YouTube. Following his win, Cardona was met with mostly boos from the juggalos in attendance. The new champion couldn’t understand why, though. In a statement after the win, Cardona said he was there to “save” the company, and will carry the title with him everywhere.
“I’m here to save JCW,” said Cardona shortly after his title win. “I don’t understand why the Juggalos booed me after I won the championship. I’m going to bring the JCW Heavyweight Championship with me everywhere!”
Following a 15-year career with WWE, Cardona has traveled across a ton of different promotions throughout his career. He’s appeared in a ton of promotions, including GCW, NWA, DDT Pro-Wrestling, MLW, and most recently, TNA, where he appeared in their invasion storyline with NXT.
Elsewhere in the world of JCW, Russo’s planned appearance will air as a part of the Thanksgiving Day episode of Lunacy, slated to drop on Thursday, November 27, on the Psychopathic Records YouTube channel.
“I’m back,” Russo said in a recent statement. “If you thought JCW was wild and unpredictable before, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
