Ash By Elegance Will Share Her Story At The Right Time, Wants To Build The TNA Brand

Ash By Elegance will tell her story when she’s ready, but right now she’s focused on building the TNA brand in any way she can.

WrestleZone spoke with the former TNA Knockouts Champion while she was promoting TNA’s upcoming television tapings in El Paso, Texas. Ash is back on the road with TNA in a non-wrestling role. This is just short of two months after she vacated the title due to not being cleared to compete. Her situation has been difficult to talk about, but Ash just wants to find the right time to open up about her status.

Ash loves a success story and might open up more when there’s a “little rainbow at the end of my story.” Until then, she’s focused on working hard on a potential in-ring comeback and helping TNA in any way she can.

“I’m working every single day to maybe, possibly be back in the ring. I can’t say when. I just know that I am working with an amazing company in TNA that believes in me. They’ve given me an opportunity to still be on camera, to manage my brand, to now search for ‘Mr. Elegance.’ That drive and that motivation outside of work, [that] keeps me motivated to keep on going and keep doing the things I need to do to be one step closer to being in-ring. It’s crazy how life works, because when you’re on the tippy top of your career, the rug gets kinda pulled out from underneath of you.

“But this just is a life lesson; like anything in life, never take anything for granted. And not that I took that title for granted, but I hit the ground running and [had so many plans]. Then it’s like, whoa, let’s take a moment and really digest what had happened. It was a blessing that it happened back where it all started in WWE and NXT. So I truly say this from the bottom of my heart, like anything, when you don’t really feel like talking about something, you kinda just let it be known. When I feel comfortable talking about it, I will. If anyone knows me, for the last 14 years, they know I keep it 100 percent.”

Ash by Elegance wants to elevate the TNA brand

Ash added that just like anything, sometimes you want to overcome things alone until you’re ready to talk about it. 

“Just know that it is a health and injury issue that I am dealing with, but I’ll get back,” she stated. “I promise I’m not giving up.”

Ash is thankful that TNA took a chance on her and noted how TNA President Carlos Silva said she always has a home in the company.

“I don’t want to go anywhere. It keeps me mentally sane to be in TNA and have a role. I read some comments online. ‘Aren’t you retired?’ ‘What are you doing, doing Mr. Elegance [for]?’ It’s like, guys, I still want to be remembered, I still want to help my girls,” she noted. “I still want to develop the brand and the characters and stuff like that. I want to help other people.”

Ash stressed that the Mr. Elegance contest is a real, legitimate opportunity. It’s also great to see so many people invested in it. Just like M and Heather by Elegance, these competitors are getting a chance too. Ash joked that Heather and the Elegance girls (and the Personal Concierge) have believed in her ideas, as wacky as they might be, but it’s paid off. 

Ash by Elegance is a great ambassador for the TNA brand

“All of those little moments really told a story. That’s why I want to continue to grow the Elegance brand, but also all the women in TNA,” Ash explained. “I really love being a locker room leader; I take pride in that. Whatever I have to do at work, I tell the girls, ‘Enough of the pettiness, enough of the drama.’ There’s 10,000 other women that would die to be in your position right now. So let’s do business, let’s tell a story and let’s elevate the TNA brand together. Carlos Silva believes in me. I’m here in El Paso now doing a media tour, and like you said, I feel like I’m a great ambassador and spokeswoman for this brand.”

The Elegant Elves photoshoot is part of TNA’s Family Fun Day in El Paso on December 7. Proceeds from the photoshoot and costume auction will be donated to El Paso Children’s Hospital.
