It appears WWE has no plans to create AI-based storylines despite reports suggesting the company intends to use the technology for television storytelling.

WWE hasn’t shied away from using artificial intelligence, but a recent report from F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer (via Wrestling Observer Newsletter) claimed the company was leaning into technology for storytelling purposes, with Cyrus Kowsari being hired specifically for that role.

According to Meltzer, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque introduced Kowsari to WWE’s creative staff as the person who would “lead WWE’s transition to AI-based storytelling and integrate AI into creative services like video and graphics.”

WWE Creative Team Isn’t Going Anywhere

A new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select) noted that the new hire will focus on production elements rather than creative storylines.

“The WWE creative team is of the impression the new hire is being brought in to find ways to help using AI to remove background noise of shots or organize files quickly, or work on production elements as opposed to creative storylines,” per the report.

“AI is not replacing the creative team. A top talent said, ‘Michael Hayes, Paul Heyman and Ed Koskey are not AI,’ and took exception to the belief that AI storylines were going to happen.”
