Cody Rhodes Can’t Remember The Lyrics To His Theme Song

Cody Rhodes has adrenaline in his soul, but it doesn’t seem like he remembered the rest of the words to his famous theme song.
This miscue happened when Rhodes recently joined the Pat McAfee show ahead of WWE Crown Jewel. When the American Nightmare appeared, McAfee and his team welcomed the Undisputed Champion by humming the tune of Rhodes’ theme song, “Kingdom” by Downstait.
Later, McAfee asked Cody Rhodes about knowing the lyrics to his theme song. In response, Rhodes teased that he didn’t know the words as well as you might think he should.
“Uh, I don’t know the words as well as I should. Now, Downstait, we made that song years and years and years ago. I’ve used it every single place I’ve gone,” Rhodes said. “Uh, out the curtain, adrenaline in the soul. I actually don’t think I do know the words all the way.”
Rhodes went on to say that sometimes it lingers a little, and you’re just waiting to do his ‘Woah’ signature pose.
The lyrics to Cody Rhodes’ theme song are…
In case you don’t know the lyrics to Rhodes’ theme song, here’s the first verse, pre-chorus and the chorus:
[Verse 1]
Adrenaline in my soul
Every fight out of control
Do it all to get them off their feet
Crowd is here, about to blow
Waitin’ for me to start the show
Out the curtain, lights go up, I’m home
(Whoa!)
[Pre-Chorus]
And my father said, when I was younger
Hard times breed better men (better men!)
[Chorus]
You took it all away, I give it all away
Can’t take my freedom
Here to change the game, a banner made of pain
I built my kingdom
Now you bow to me
You took my dreams but not my name
You’ll follow me into the end
I am my kingdom
