Killer Kross is one of the hottest names available in the pro wrestling world right now. Could he return to MLW? Alex Hammerstone seems open to the idea.

Hammerstone recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard to promote MLW Fightland. “Your Boy Hammer” is one of the most notable names in MLW, but left in 2023 to pursue other opportunities. After a short run in TNA and appearances in NXT and the NWA, Hammerstone returned to MLW at Battle Riot VII in April.

Hammerstone praised MLW boss Court Bauer for having an open-door policy with talent, noting that the great thing about MLW is that there’s always an opportunity to seize.

“Nothing is off the table. That is the good thing about Court, he very much embraces the idea of never say never in pro wrestling. Because it’s like, this is such a strange business. There’s going to be emotions riding high. People are constantly trying to stab each other in the back,” he explained. “There’s so many things that cause these riffs in pro wrestling. And it’s like, they’re so easy to mend if you want to. But so many people will just look back and be bitter, and frustrated over something that’s in the past.

“So, nobody specifically comes to mind. But there’s always that opportunity. And, there’s so many things, great things, that have happened in the past with that company, great alent that has come through those doors. Plenty of them are probably [under contract elsewhere]. But in the future, who knows? It is like you said, I was with TNA. My contract comes up, there’s an opportunity. Who’s to say that there’s people with some different companies right now, when their contract comes up, there’s an opportunity for them here?]”

Pritchard mentioned Killer Kross / Karrion Kross as another name with history in MLW. Kross debuted in MLW in 2020, working two matches before returning again for another run in 2022. Hammerstone noted his history with Kross through the years, adding that he wouldn’t be surprised if they crossed paths again in MLW.

“He’s someone who I’ve been intertwined with since the very beginning of his career. I was there when he first started training in Vegas, [and] when he first started getting flown out in Portland. I was there when we were on Ring Warriors together, which was probably both of our first time on a national television product,” Hammerstone explained.

“We wrestled in Vegas earlier this year for the Chris Bey benefit show. It’s like we’ve crossed paths plenty of places, plenty of times. But never in MLW. So, hey, there’s an opportunity right now,” he added. “He’s definitely probably one of the most in-demand guys right now. And he’s probably got plenty of stuff lined up. But, it’s happened before. Let’s see if it happens again.”
