Chris Jericho Spotted At Exclusive Event In The Hamptons
Chris Jericho is enjoying his time away from AEW.
Metallica just wrapped up the US leg of its M72 world tour. The band still had two standalone shows scheduled in the States before they head overseas for the European part of the tour. One of the remaining US shows took place at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett in the Hamptons on Thursday night. The show was set up to promote the new “Maximum Metallica” channel that debuted on SiriusXM on Friday.
According to Rolling Stone, the guests among the 500 or so people in the venue, the smallest one Metallica has played in years, was pretty star-studded. In addition to Howard Stern, Michael J. Fox, Sylvester Stallone and Saturday Night Live‘s Colin Jost, the magazine said that AEW star Chris Jericho was among the celebrities on hand for the show.
“This is jarringly accurate. In front of me, the die-hard fans who travel around the world to see as many shows as possible post up near the rail. To my left, Howard and Beth Ostrosky Stern say hello to Michael J. Fox while Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and wrestler Chris Jericho hang nearby,” the outlet wrote.

Chris Jericho might be eyeing a return to WWE
This is one of the rare public appearances that Jericho has made in recent months. Aside from touring with Fozzy earlier this year, Jericho has been absent from AEW TV. It is believed that he might be exploring a return to WWE. A new report suggests that many believe he’s made “overtures” about WWE’s interest in bringing him back.
AEW owner Tony Khan addressed Jericho’s absence during Thursday’s ROH Death Before Dishonor media call. There, Khan praised Jericho’s contributions and commented on the potential of working with the nine-time world champion in the future.
Maximum Metallica will air the full 95-minute performance from Stephen’s Talkhouse on the new channel starting September 1.
