Small Change Made To Hikuleo’s New WWE In-Ring Name
Hikuleo officially made his WWE television debut at Night of Champions 2025. Days after his arrival, the company has now confirmed the final iteration of his on-screen name.
Solo Sikoa locked horns with Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the closing moments, Hikuleo joined the ranks of The Bloodline, ambushed The Samoan Werewolf, which led to Sikoa capturing the US Title. Upon his arrival, even Michael Cole fumbled on commentary to reveal the former NJPW star’s official name. However, during Solo Sikoa’s interview at the post-show, the graphics revealed that “Tala Tonga” had debuted.
Making a small change to this, WWE on its website is now referring to the erstwhile Hikuleo as “Talla Tonga.”
Mark Henry Comments On Talla Tonga’s (Hikuleo) WWE Debut
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently appeared on an episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. He shared his thoughts on the former Bullet Club member joining forces with Solo Sikoa.
The former World Heavyweight Champion noted that the arrival of a new character such as Talla Tonga within the Bloodline story inherently becomes a major occasion. Mark Henry drew this comparison with the introduction of new characters in the MCU. He said,
“You know what, the thing that stood out [was] Solo beating Jacob and becoming the US Champion. Tala Tonga, formerly Hikuleo, that was the one that struck me because now you actually see Tala Tonga in action, and you see him — you know, we always talk about the movies, the Marvel Universe, whenever some new character shows up in the Marvel Universe, it’s a big deal. Anybody that shows up in the Bloodline saga, it automatically becomes a big deal.”
On the July 4, 2025, episode of SmackDown, the duo of Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso defeated Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo in a tag team match. However, following the contest, Talla Tonga, Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, and Sikoa laid waste to their rivals.
