Rob Van Dam Will Eulogize Sabu Today, New Champion To Be Crowned After Injury Strikes Noam Dar

The Cauliflower Alley Club will organize a memorial service for the late wrestling legend Sabu later today at the Cooper Moon Event Space in Lansing, Michigan.

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam will deliver the eulogy for his late friend and former tag team partner.

“A memorial service for Sabu will be held on Saturday June 21, 2025 at 3 pm EST at The Copper Moon Event Space, 1247 Center St, Lansing, MI 48906. Family, friends, and fans are invited to attend. Rob Van Dam will be delivering the eulogy. After this there will be a lunch (including Sabu’s favorite meal – meatloaf, and Mexican food from his friend Joseph Yusuf Diaz’s mother’s restaurant), and time for family and friends to share their memories.”

WWE NXT General Manager Ava has announced that Noam Dar is injured and will miss next week’s episode of NXT.

As a result, Dar will withdraw from his match against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, who will instead face a new opponent to determine the new NXT Heritage Cup Champion. Ava tweeted,

“Due to injury, Noam Dar will not be able to compete this Tuesday and will have to relinquish the NXT Heritage Cup Championship. This Tuesday, Stacks with compete in a match to crown a new Heritage Cup Champion against an opponent to be named. @WWENXT”
