X-Men Writer Gail Simone Says This Indie Star Should Be An X-Man

Renowned comic writer Gail Simone, best known for her work in the comic world, recently praised indie wrestling star Kidd Bandit, stating that Bandit should be an X-Man.
Bandit, is an independent pro wrestler with an anime-inspired persona. They have been making a name for themselves over the years. They have performed in various independent wrestling organizations, including GCW, CZW, and more. On March 15, Bandit secured a victory over Johnnie Robbie at Epic Pro Wrestling: Meanest of Times.
Between 2021 and 2022, Kidd Bandit made multiple appearances on AEW Dark, competing in tag team matches. Bandit also got a chance to train at the Nightmare Factory with Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall. Bandit credited Rhodes for shaping their gimmick and launching their professional wrestling career.
Recently, Bandit showcased their sword skills in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter). Simone noticed the clip and applauded their talent, declaring that Kidd Bandit “needs to be an X-men.”
Simone is best known for her work in comics, including Birds of Prey, Batgirl, and Red Sonja. She has also written Clean Room, Secret Six, Welcome to Tranquility, The All-New Atom, Deadpool. Additionally, she is the longest-running female writer on Wonder Woman.
With Gail Simone praising Kidd Bandit and the MCU potentially developing a new standalone X-Men movie, many fans anticipate the cast will be announced after Avengers: Secret Wars, set for release in 2027. Whether Bandit could land a role in the next X-Men film remains to be seen.
