Backstage Note On Sami Zayn’s Injury Angle At WWE Elimination Chamber

WWE recently announced that Sami Zayn would be sidelined “indefinitely” due to an injury to his neck caused by Kevin Owens at Elimination Chamber: Toronto.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Zayn isn’t actually injured, and his hiatus is part of a storyline designed to generate heat on Owens.

The angle was not done because Zayn needed a break as could come back at any point.

While the term “indefinitely” implies he won’t compete at WrestleMania 41, there’s a possibility he could still play a role in the outcome of the anticipated Owens vs. Randy Orton match.
