Warner Bros. Discovery Clarifies MAX Cancellation Won’t Affect AEW

As we previously reported here on eWn, Warner Bros. Discovery has decided against pursuing plans to introduce a premium tier for sports content on MAX.

These plans were originally announced in September 2023. Nonetheless, sports content will still be accessible to both standard and premium subscribers.

Warner Bros. Discovery issued a statement to Pwinsider, confirming that the decision to cancel the sports tier will not impact AEW, which has programming on MAX, in any manner.

The statement reads, “The recent MAX news does not affect AEW at all. AEW’s Wednesday and Saturday live shows will be available on all tiers of MAX.“
