Kaitland Alexis Shares What Advice Gail Kim Gave Her After Her TNA Debut

Kaitland Alexis reflects on her TNA debut.
Last year, Kaitland Alexis enjoyed a pair of major promotion matches, with the first coming against Mariah May on AEW Dynamite. The following month, she made her TNA Wrestling debut alongside Renee Michelle on TNA Explosion. In a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Alexis recounted her TNA experience, which pitted her against the current TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Dani Luna and Jody Threat (known as Spitfire).
“It was great, just the whole overall experience,” Alexis said. “Everyone in the locker room was super nice, very supportive and wanting to listen. I got a lot of feedback after my match. It was just my first actual TV matches where it wasn’t just like 2 minutes and you’re doing the job. It was like a full-on match. I was like ‘Okay, you guys are trusting me with this right now? Thank you.'”
According to Alexis, some notable feedback came from Gail Kim, TNA’s Head of Talent Relations and former Knockouts Champion.
“One of the things Gail Kim was saying to me was I have a lot of personality. [She also said] just some of my selling I obviously need to work on,” Alexis said. “But everyone’s just super nice and so supportive.”
The ending of this TNA Explosion tag match came when Luna kicked Michelle to the outside, after which Threat tagged her back into the ring. Together, Luna and Threat then dropped Alexis to the mat for the Spitfire win.
