Carlito Teases Retirement, Meiko Satomura Wanted One Last Match Against Lyra Valkyria

During a recent appearance on the “Insight” podcast, Carlito discussed what lies ahead for his career, noting that he has a handful of years remaining as an active wrestler.

Carlito, 45, stated that he does not believe he will compete in the ring when he reaches his fifties.

He said, “I feel like I’ve got a few more years than me. Not many, but a few.”

When asked about wrestling in his 50s, Carlito added, “That’s probably not going to happen. No, no, probably not. Mentally, I think [I could], but my body is probably not [going to hold up.] “

Meiko Satomura recently announced her plans to retire this year, but she has a few goals she wants to accomplish before doing so.

In a Twitter post, Satomura expressed her desire to have a match with Lyra Valkyria before her retirement.

The two previously competed on April 29, 2021, for the NXT UK Women’s Championship.

Meiko wrote, Ohhhh Valkyria! I wanted to have one more match before my retiring!
