Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes Set For 7/17 Episode Of WWE Speed

Former WWE NXT Champions will do battle next week when Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes face off for a shot at the WWE Speed Title.

The two will meet on the July 17, edition of WWE Speed. The winner of the match will face Baron Corbin, who advanced in the tournament this week by beating Angelo Dawkins.

The winner of Corbin vs. Hayes/Dragunov will go on to challenge Andrade for the title at a later date. Andrade defeated Ricochet to become the second-ever WWE Speed Champion.

This upcoming match will be the latest showdown between the two. At WWE NXT: Great American Bash, Hayes retained the NXT World Championship against Dragunov.

Dragunov won the gold from Hayes at WWE NXT: No Mercy 2023 and retained the title against ‘HIM’ at WWE NXT: Halloween Havoc the following month.
