Gable Steveson Still Has A Passion For Amateur Wrestling Ahead Of WWE In-Ring Debut

Gable Steveson vs. Baron Corbin is among the matches happening at the WWE NXT Great American Bash pay-per-view event at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Austin, Texas, this Sunday. This match will mark Steveson’s in-ring debut.

Speaking to the Star Tribune, Steveson commented on his amateur wrestling future as he still has a year left of eligibility.

He noted that amateur wrestling is “my passion,” and “my fire still burns for it … I still have the year of [college] eligibility, and always will be ready to compete for USA.”

Speaking about his WWE debut, he said, ”Very excited. First time people are seeing me. Thankful for the opportunity.”
