Big NXT UK Women’s Championship Match Announced, Note On Tom Phillips’ WWE Release

As noted earlier today here on eWn, Tom Phillips was released from WWE within the past 48 hours. For those wondering, his release is a separate matter from the office staff cuts that have also been taking place this week. Phillips has changed his Twitter handle to his real name (Tom Hannifan). He does still list himself as a WWE broadcaster though.

WWE announced today that Meiko Satomura will face Kay Lee Ray for the NXT UK Women’s Championship on the June 10th episode of NXT UK. Satomura recently won a Gauntlet Match to earn the opportunity to face Ray.
