Backstage Note On Jessamyn Duke Not Competing In Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

Earlier this afternoon, the official brackets for the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic tournament were announced. What made this interesting was the fact that Marina Shafir was without her tag partner, Jassamyn Duke. Rather than teaming with Duke, Shafir was placed with Zoey Stark (aka, Lacey Ryan).

In a report by Fightful Select, Duke is not injured and has been placed as a focal point for the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. With her full-time game streamer status, she was hired by WWE to help create digital content for the company. The belief is that she’d rather be creating content such as gaming behind-the-scenes versus being a wrestler during this pandemic. There are no plans as of now for Duke to be working in NXT while she is producing content for UpUpDownDown.
