WWE Announcer Announces His Retirement, Free RAW Triple Threat Match (Video)
WWE’s longtime German announcer Carsten Schaefer recently announced his retirement. The retirement comes after he was unable to appear at WWE live events for most of 2020 due to the pandemic. Instead, WWE has been using German announcers who live in the United States.
Schaefer started working with WWE back in 1989 as he called the Ring Frei (Clear the Ring) show. He was also a regular commentator for WWE on EuroSport, Tele 5, RTL II, tm3, DSF, DSFaction, Premiere, SkySport and Pro7maxx.
WWE posted the following video, showing the complete Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler triple threat match from the December 24th, 2018 episode of RAW:
