WWE SummerSlam Results: Sasha Banks vs. Asuka

The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE SummerSlam PPV event:

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Asuka

Although Banks attempted to go after the injured knee, Asuka did the same to Banks. Asuka with a hip attack and a kick to the back. Asuka went for several quick pin attempts and submissions. Banks hit a sunset flip off the apron to the floor.

Banks hit her with a big boot for a near fall back in the ring. Asuka hit a face buster before sending her to the floor and into the barricade. Back in the ring, Asuka went to the top rope and hit a missile drop kick for a ner fall.

Asuka caught Banks and applied the Asuka Lock, but Banks got out of it. Banks with the Bank Statement, but Asuka managed to get it. Asuka knocked Bayley off the apron and locked in the Asuka Lock to Banks for the win. 

Winner: Asuka – NEW CHAMPION
