WWE Night Of Champions In Saudi Arabia In Doubt — Report
WWE Night of Champions might not happen as planned in 2026.
WWE was planning to host the 2026 Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia, but that might not happen due to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. According to a report from Wrestlevotes Radio (via Fightful Select), sources at WWE Headquarters in Stamford believe it’s “doubtful at best” that Night of Champions will take place in Saudi Arabia.
It was noted that this could always change, but this is the current dialogue at the moment.
When is WWE Night of Champions scheduled to take place?
WWE reportedly plans to return to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions on June 27, 2026, according to POST Wrestling.
One source indicated to POST that Riyadh was planned as the location for this year’s Night of Champions event. However, Riyadh has been a target of counterattacks from Iran amid the ongoing international hostilities since the end of February.
POST Wrestling reported that neither WWE nor Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority responded to a request for comment about potentially rescheduling or cancelling the event.
If the Night of Champions date stayed intact, it would take place four weeks after Clash In Paris. It would also be five weeks before SummerSlam, which will emanate from Minneapolis on August 1 and 2. Last year’s Night of Champions event included the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Whether that will also be the case for the 2026 iteration has yet to be seen.
