CM Punk Shares Behind-The-Scenes Look At Night Patrol Movie
CM Punk is getting ready for his close-up.
Punk is one of the stars of Night Patrol, a new horror-action movie directed by Ryan Prows. Punk plays one of the members of the LAPD’s night patrol task force, who are actually a group of vampires targeting the residents of a local housing project.
Night Patrol opens in theaters on January 16, but the film will host some advance screenings beginning on January 7. CM Punk marked the occasion by sharing a behind-the-scenes look at getting ready to film a scene in the movie with co-star Justin Long.
“A little Night Patrol BTS and a link to theaters that are having advance screenings,” CM Punk wrote on his Instagram Stories.

CM Punk plays a role that fans aren’t used to seeing from him
WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with Prows about CM Punk’s role in the film. Prows is also a wrestling fan and said it was refreshing to see how committed Punk was to the role. In Night Patrol, CM Punk plays a police officer who exhibits behavior that is not exactly sticking to the straight-edge lifestyle.
Prows says they tried to be respectful of Punk’s real lifestyle, but the WWE star was ready for anything, noting that he was playing a role.
“We were trying to be respectful, obviously. We got to figure out, ‘Are you cool with this’ or whatever. [But] he was like, ‘I’m an actor, man. I’m ready to do it.’ So yeah, he did a great job with all that. And, kudos to him for [having] a fearlessness of he’s playing just an awful, awful person. And he’s like doing it without a wink.
“[He was] actually just sort of saying awful things and doing awful things and is like fully committed to it. So that was definitely—you obviously assume or hope that that’s going to be the case, but I was really impressed with just how ready he was once he committed to it and how much he gave for it. So it was incredible to work with him.”
