Is an NXT Superstar going to provide John Cena with a loophole out of his street fight with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Championship?

Friday night on SmackDown, John Cena attempted to make excuses to get out of his SummerSlam title defense against Cody Rhodes. However, the American Nightmare wasn’t having it beat down Cena, forcing him to sign the contract while unconscious.

While this is something we’ve seen countless times in pro wrestling over the years, an NXT Superstar is insisting that what took place is invalid.

WWE NXT Superstar and lawyer Luca Crusifino took to social media this weekend to message Cena and inform him that the contract he signed on SmackDown is invalid, tweeting out:

“A contract signed while you’re unconscious = INVALID. No capacity, no consent, no deal. @JohnCena,” Luca Crusifino said in a post.

When a member of the WWE Universe informed Crusifino that contract law doesn’t exist in WWE, the NXT star fired back with:

If only there was a lawyer to enforce it …,” Crusfino said in response.

Whether this is actually leading to something on WWE programming or not is uncertain, but it’s certainly interesting given the circumstances.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on the SummerSlam main event as it becomes available.
