Linda Hogan Breaks Silence On Ex-Husband Hulk Hogan’s Death
Linda Hogan says goodbye to her late ex-husband, Hulk Hogan.
In the days following his death, friends and family of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan have issued tributes across social media. His ex-wife, Linda Hogan, is now the latest. Hulk (real name Terry Bollea) and Linda married in 1983 and later finalized their divorce in 2009. During their 20-plus-year marriage, they had two children together, Brooke and Nick.
“I had no idea he would pass away this soon,” Linda wrote in the comment section of her latest Instagram post, initially made just a day before Hulk’s passing. “We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It’s hitting me so hard. I loved Hulkster more than he loved me It hurt when he cheated. But he was sooo famous. I sort of understood but it was crushing. It hurt. I [n]ever got over him or started a real relationship w anyone. I missed HIM!
“I’ve been weeping all day, she continued. “‘The finality. It’s just shocking. We spent every minute together for so many years. I’ve known him since he was 28 yrs old! I was 22. I still love him. Even tho I never spoke or saw him, Nick did and Nick would tell me things and vice versa. Just news about life. I still felt although broken, we still were a family. It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick…but I’m melting down now. It’s very sad. I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP.”
Hulk Hogan died from cardiac arrest at the age of 71 on July 24. Since then, his death has been met with a mixed response. While many wrestling figures and even WWE have honored him with a number of salutes, many have also cited issue with his controversial past, which including a leaked audio tape of racial remarks.
