WWE’s Internal Reaction To John Cena Tackling Charles Robinson At Night Of Champions

John Cena defeated CM Punk to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship last night at WWE Night Of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The main event wasn’t short of drama; Seth Rollins (w/ Paul Heyman), Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Sami Zayn, and PENTA all got involved during the closing moments of the match.

Amidst all this chaos, substitute referee Charles Robinson was tackled by Cena, preventing Rollins from cashing in his Money In The Bank contract.

Robinson later confirmed on Twitter that he was fine. He wrote,

“I am alive.”

Fightful is reporting that the mood backstage was light-hearted, with laughter regarding Robinson’s unexpected bump. The report states,

“Charles Robinson was said to be okay after the bump he took at Night of Champions. The spot was met with huge laughter from those backstage.”
