Bryan Danielson Surprised By His Success, Nick Wayne Praises Christian Cage

Bryan Danielson has had a successful wrestling career, winning world titles in both AEW and WWE and headlining several WrestleMania events.

During a recent interview with “Kiro News Radio,” Danielson revealed that he never expected to achieve such success in wrestling. He said,

“No. I had wanted to be a professional wrestler ever since I was in first grade, but I never expected to reach the heights that I did. My first 10 years of my career, I was at the independent level, and it was mostly wrestling in front of anywhere from 100 to 1,000 people. I’d go internationally, but I just figured that would be my whole career. I mean, I’m five feet, eight inches tall, 190 pounds. I’m not your standard professional wrestler.”

Nick Wayne has been working with Christian Cage since 2023 and admires him for being one of the smartest people in wrestling.

During a recent appearance on the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, Wayne expressed his admiration for Cage. He said,

“I feel like he’s one of the smartest people in wrestling period. But for sure in AEW, he’s so smart in every aspect of wrestling. But specifically what he’s helped me the most with is promos and just talking and a lot of presentation as well. How to present yourself as something more and feel like you’re bigger. Really a lot in talking, and I’ve gotten really comfortable with it recently. Then just like verbiage and stuff as well. Again, presentation and even in talking. But it goes all the way down to in-ring stuff. After all my matches, I always tell him, like, please pick me apart. Like, tell me everything. So, yeah, I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor in this time that I’ve been under his learning tree.”
