Maven Shares How Much He Was Paid For Dark Side Of The Ring
Maven Huffman appeared during the latest episode of Dark Side of the Ring that focused on the career of Mark ‘Muhammad Hassan’ Copani in WWE.
In a recent video from his YouTube channel, Maven discussed his time working with DSOTR, including how much he made from his appearance. He said,
“Now, the contract I had to sign was by far the most extensive to date, and that was because of the confidentiality of the project. I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone anything about that day — including the fact that we were filming an episode on Muhammad Hassan — or share any pictures or videos. I also had to agree not to talk about anything discussed during the entire filming session. The people at Vice TV were very serious about keeping their project hush-hush and completely under wraps.
“But how much did I get paid? Well, it was a good day. $2,500 to do the Vice episode. And I didn’t even have to pay for parking — they had parking waiting for me when I arrived.”
Hassan and Maven were both part of the RAW roster in 2004. Maven left WWE in 2005 while Hassan was moved to SmackDown.
The Hassan character was ‘killed off’ due to the backlash of his character criticizing the United States’ treatment of law-abiding Arab-Americans post-9/11.
