Mariah May Teases AEW All Out 2024 Cameo, Will Ospreay Praises Kenny Omega
In a recent appearance on the “Rasslin’” podcast, Mariah May teased that she might show up at AEW All Out 2024 this weekend, mentioning that she is bound by contract to the company.
May will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Nyla Rose on tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
She said, “Maybe. I mean, Chicago’s not exactly a place I enjoy spending time. It’s not particularly a place I would want to go, but unfortunately, I have contractual obligations I have to fulfill. So I might show my face. I’m still thinking about this celebration I haven’t had yet. So that’s a pay-per-view, kind of feels like a big deal. But as for defending this, I have no idea why Nyla Rose gets to have a go at this because last time I checked, you have to earn that. So I don’t think I’m gonna defend it, to be honest. Nobody’s really stepped up to the plate enough.”
In a recent interview with “Inside the Ropes,” Will Ospreay shared his thoughts about The Elite, particularly Kenny Omega, and their significance to AEW.
Ospreay complimented Omega but mentioned that he still holds a negative opinion of him.
He said, “I think he represents the identity of what AEW initially was. He didn’t need the machine to make himself a big superstar, he made himself a star along with The Bucks, along with Hangman, and everyone else that helped to set up the company. There was an identity about AEW that was different to what American TV was accustomed to. Those guys really set the bar for what wrestling could look like. It could have a different image and it could have a different identity. Especially when it comes to TV-style wrestling. Those guys completely shifted what it looked like to be TV wrestlers. He’s one of the best and I give him all the flowers in the world, but that doesn’t mean I like him [laughs]. Other than that, he’s a prick.”
Ospreay defeated MJF to reclaim the AEW International Title at All In London 2024.
