Tony Khan Claims WWE Are Still Tampering With AEW Contracts
AEW President Tony Khan has accused WWE of taking part in contract tampering, a practice Khan believes has been going on for some time.
In February 2023, Khan alleged that wrestlers within AEW had told him that WWE had reached out to tamper with their contracts and asked talent to break them.
Khan did not state which specific AEW wrestlers came to him but said that staff had also reported that WWE wanted AEW talent to break their contracts.
On a recent edition of the “Dan LeBatard Show,” Khan alleged that this tampering is still going on to this day. He said,
“It’s still happening. I will reserve all rights when it comes to that, but I don’t think that it’s stopped. I’ll leave it at that.”
It has been reported recently that the Lucha Bros are expected to leave AEW when their contracts expire and are expected to join WWE.
WWE is already home to several ex-AEW stars including Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, NXT Champion Ethan Page, Jade Cargill, Shawn Spears, and Lexis King.
