Booker T – ‘The Attitude Era Was The Best, WWE’s Trying To Get Back There’
On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T was asked about the Attitude Era and how it compares to the WWE’s 2024 product. He said,
“To me, the Attitude Era was the best era I think in wrestling of all time. But I do think the WWE right now is trying to get back to that just a little bit, of course with The Bloodline storyline, and of course now with The Rock coming back.”
While opinions differ, many see the Attitude Era as lasting from the Montreal Screwjob in late 1997 to WrestleMania X-Seven in April 2001.
Booker T would join WWE shortly after and debuted at King of the Ring 2001. He would be an integral part of that year’s Invasion storyline as a member of the WCW/ECW ‘Alliance.’
Booker T’s debut year would see him feud with The Rock who will return to the ring as part of the tag-team match that will headline WrestleMania 40 (Night One).
