Cody Rhodes On The Rock’s WrestleMania Involvement: “I Don’t Think He’d Meddle With A Story That’s Been Being Told”

Cody Rhodes has shared his thoughts on the speculation surrounding WWE’s plans for WrestleMania if they manage to secure The Rock for the event, as there had been speculation that the main event for WrestleMania 40 would be Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

However, if WWE is able to convince The Rock to wrestle his cousin, they may choose to go in that direction instead. If The Rock agrees to face Reigns, Rhodes may not have the opportunity to finish his own story of winning the WWE Title.

During an interview with Bleacher Report, Rhodes was asked about the possibility of WWE opting for Rock vs. Reigns as the main event for WrestleMania 40.

“You mentioned ‘The Great One’ The Rock, nothing but respect for him. I went and saw ‘Jungle Cruise,’ I’m a Rock fan. I don’t think he’s the type that would come in and meddle with a story that’s been being told over the past two years. I think he’s probably up to something else, but you never know with WWE. I’ll be watching just like everybody else when I’m not wrestling.”
