Vince McMahon Has No Plans To Leave WWE After Selling Stock
Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel decided Triple H would be in charge of WWE creative and Vince McMahon would not have any influence on the product following the merger between WWE and UFC.
Last month, McMahon sold $700 million in TKO stock, which represented nearly 25 percent of McMahon’s holdings in TKO, causing people to think he was leaving the company.
Sports Illustrated reported today that they were told that McMahon has no plans to leave the company. Instead, McMahon needed to have the money liquid, causing him to sell the stock.
The report noted, “Multiple sources have indicated that McMahon has no plans to stop working for the company. Even though his role has shifted away from creative, which is overseen by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, there is no doubt that McMahon still wields great power in the company.”
