WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther vs. Sheamus was booked at this year’s WWE Clash at the Castle pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match: 

The two factions brawled with Gunther and Sheamus having a staredown until they exchanged strikes. Gunther with a big boot. Sheamus with a suplex. Gunther with some chops on the apron. Gunther slammed him on the steel steps. Gunther went for a boston crab, but Sheamus got to the bottom rope.

They brawled on the floor. Sheamus with White Noise for a near fall. Gunther avoided the Brogue Kick and hit a drop kick. Gunther with a powerbomb for 2. Sheamus with a toss out of the corner for 2. Gunther went over with a lariat. 

Winner: WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther
