Ronda Rousey Reveals Nixed Plan For WWE I-Quit Match With Charlotte Flair

Ronda Rousey has said that she pitched for Drew Gulak to get involved with the I-Quit match earlier this month at WrestleMania Backlash.

At WWE’s most recent Premium Live Event, Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

In the build, both women had attacked Drew Gulak, and during a recent Facebook Gaming Stream, said she planned to have the former Cruiserweight Champion get involved:

“It’s funny, I pitched him (Drew Gulak) getting involved, getting thwacked… I pitched him getting involved for the ‘I Quit’ match (at WrestleMania Backlash). Like running into him and thwacking (him).”

Rousey has since defended her title successfully against Raquel Rodriguez on SmackDown.

Flair has been written out of storylines with a kayfabe injury, giving her time off to marry AEW’s Andrade El Idolo.

Charlotte Flair is expected to return this summer.
