Shane Helms Says That WALTER Will Be Fine Despite The Name Change

WALTER’s name being changed to Gunther (initially Gunther Stark) has surely been the main talk among wrestling fans recently, mostly drawing a negative reaction.

WWE producer Shane Helms however, took to Twitter to say that he thinks the Austrian will be just fine by using himself as an example.

Helms went on to lose his WCW Cruiserweight Championship, change his name, theme song, attire and finisher all in his SmackDown debut back in 2001.

In my WWE TV debut, I lost:
-My name
-My gimmick
-My entrance
-My entrance song
-My finisher
-And my WCW Cruiserweight Championship. ALL IN ONE NIGHT.

If I survived that, Walter will be just fine.
