The Reason Why AEW Full Gear Is Being Shown In More Theaters This Time Around
We reported last week here on eWn that tomorrow night’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event will be available in select theaters in North America. The event will be airing at several 314 Cinemark, AMC, Regal, Harkins, iPic, and Emagine Entertainment locations.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW Full Gear will be shown in more than double the amount of theaters that carried AEW All Out. Joe Hand Promotions is handling the screenings and were able to clear more theaters due to the success of All Out.
WWE SummerSlam was shown in 400 theaters and AEW All Out had 140. All Out averaged $8,571 per screen and around 343 people. WWE SummerSlam averaged about $3,000 per screen, or around 120 people per theater.
