XFL Moves Relaunch Back To 2023

Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and RedBird Capital Partners bought all of the assets of Alpha Entertainment LLC, the parent company of the XFL.

The league was supposed to re-launch next year, but the league announced the season is on hold while having discussions with the CFL (Candian Football League). 

However, on Wednesday, the CFL announced that they would not be working for the XFL, which has since confirmed the relaunch will now take place in 2023 instead of 2022. 

“While our discussions with the CFL did not ultimately lead to a collaboration, the effort reinforced our belief and commitment to developing the XFL for international spring football. We look forward to seeing everyone for kickoff in spring of 2023,” the statement said.
