Backstage Note On The Plans For Chase Owens In NJPW

As seen during yesterday’s NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam event at the Tokyo Dome, Chase Owens won the New Japan Ranbo to become the new holder of the KOPW trophy. Owens last eliminated former champion Toru Yano.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, NJPW has plans to continue pushing Owens and make him a ‘credible’ wrestler in the company. As of this writing, Owens is expected to be involved in the G1 tournament and will have a decent run.
