Randy Orton’s Uncle, Barry Orton (Barry O) Passes Away At 62

In a sad report provided to us by F4WOnline, Barry Orton, the uncle of Randy Orton and brother of ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton Jr., has passed away at the age of 62.

Barry Orton wrestled as “Barry O” in the WWF, where he had runs in 1985-86 and 1990-91. Barry O was mostly recognized during his time between 1991-1992 doing media interviews accusing Terry Garvin and Pat Patterson of sexual harassment and abuse during the 1970’s. He appeared on Geraldo Rivera, Phil Donahue and Larry King Live. Orton had confrontations with Vince McMahon who had attempted to discredit Orton on the air for bringing up his prison time following a car accident that resulted in another death.

Orton was friends with Tom Cole, who claimed former WWE employee Mel Philips sexually harassed him while Cole was working for the ring crew, which Phillips supervised. Ultimately, Garvin and Phillips were released by WWE at the time and Patterson resigned. However, with the damage being done, this led to the end of Orton’s wrestling career

On behalf of everyone here at eWrestlingNews, we would like to sent out our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Barry Orton.
