Andrew Yang Says It Would “Make A Lot Of Sense” For Wrestlers To Join SAG-AFTRA
Andrew Yang took to Twitter today, responding to the news that Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists’ president Gabrielle Carteris is supporting Zelina Vega and her comments on supporting unionization following her WWE release. Yang said,
“Pro wrestlers joining SAG-AFTRA makes a lot of sense to me. They star in some of the highest-rated shows on TV each week.”
Yang is very against WWE’s new third-party ban on sites like Twitch and Cameo. As many of you know by now, WWE classifies their talent as independent contractors. Over the weekend, Yang tweeted the following in response to a fan:
“I haven’t forgotten about Vince McMahon.”
Pro wrestlers joining SAG-AFTRA makes a lot of sense to me. They star in some of the highest-rated shows on TV each week.
