WWE’s Plan To Stream Indie Wrestling Content On The WWE Network Put On Pause
As originally reported by WON, the WWE Network is planning to stream Indie Wrestling content in the near future. Dave Meltzer stated the company has completely abolished their plans for a “Tier System” which would’ve seen subscribers get various accesses to WWE content across the Network at set prices, with the $9.99 being the standard price tag. The higher tier system, which would’ve likely been at $14.99 a month, would have users having access to all WWE Network content plus access to EVOLVE, Progress, and other Indie Wrestling organizations.

In an updated report provided by PWInsider to go with the above, the company plans to eventually bring in a system that would involve the usage of Indie Wrestling content on their Network, but that has now been put on pause. WWE currently holds the rights to the following organizations and brands: EVOLVE and Dragon Gate US. PROGRESS, ICW and Westside Xtreme Wrestling.
WWE reportedly doesn’t have a timetable yet for when the content will be available. Work is being done to prep the content for being launched on the service. These plans can and will likely change yet again, but for now this is the current status of what WWE has planned for the Network going forward.
